- 46 Staff Nurse and 28 ANM posts among 37 categories; Selection through written test, skill test and interview
Jharkhand News : The District Health Society, Hazaribagh, under the National Health Mission (NHM), has initiated the recruitment process for contractual and backlog vacancies across various health programmes. Online applications have been invited from eligible candidates for several positions, including ANM, Staff Nurse, Lab Technician, Pharmacist, Counsellor, Block Data Manager, X-Ray Technician, Oxygen Operator, Clinical Psychologist and others.
According to the notification issued by the Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Medical Officer, Hazaribagh, a total of 182 contractual vacancies will be filled. Interested candidates can submit their online applications until July 30, 2026.
The recruitment covers 37 different categories of posts, including ANM, Staff Nurse, Lab Technician, Pharmacist, X-Ray Technician, Block Data Manager, Oxygen Operator, Counsellor, Clinical Psychologist, Psychiatric Social Worker, Accountant, STS, STLS, TB-HV, Hospital Attendant, Sanitary Attendant and several others.
Among all vacancies, 46 posts are for Staff Nurses and 28 posts for ANMs, making them the largest recruitment categories. Appointments will also be made under programmes such as SNCU, NUHM, RBSK, NCD Clinics, NTEP and other National Health Mission initiatives.
The online application process commenced on July 14, 2026, and candidates can apply through http://www.nhmhazaribagh.in The last date for submission of applications is 5:00 PM on July 30, 2026. Applications submitted through any mode other than online will not be accepted.
Selection will be based on academic qualifications, technical eligibility and, where required, a written examination, skill test and interview. The final merit list will be published on the website of the District Health Society.
The application fee has been fixed at ₹300 for General, OBC and EWS candidates, while SC, ST and all female candidates will have to pay ₹200. The fee must be paid online through the prescribed QR code/payment system.
The maximum age limit is 35 years for Unreserved candidates, 37 years for Backward Class candidates, 38 years for women belonging to Unreserved and Backward Class categories, and 40 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates. Persons with Disabilities (PwD) will be eligible for an age relaxation of up to five years as per government norms.
Selected candidates will initially be appointed on a one-year contractual basis. The contract may be extended based on satisfactory performance. They will receive remuneration as prescribed by the State Government; however, the appointment will not confer any claim for regularisation.
Health department officials stated that the recruitment is expected to strengthen the availability of skilled human resources across healthcare institutions in the district. It is likely to improve healthcare delivery in both rural and urban areas, particularly in the fields of maternal and child health, tuberculosis control, mental health, non-communicable disease management, and urban health services.
