Jharkhand News : The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at NTPC North Karanpura at the Udaan Sports Complex in the presence of senior officials, employees and their family members.

Shri Alok Kumar Tripathi, Head of Project, NTPC North Karanpura, was the Chief Guest. Senior officials including Shri Ajay Kerhalkar, GM (O&M); Shri Dipak Dalei, GM (Project); Shri Neeraj Roy, GM (HR); and Shri Junaid Jawaid, GM (TS) attended the programme.
Smt. Jyotsna Tripathi, President of Vasundhara Ladies Club, along with senior members of the Ladies Club, Shri Sanuj Kumar, DC CISF, and Shri Ramesh Singh, DC Fire, also graced the occasion.
Flag Hoisting and CISF Inspection
The programme began with Vande Mataram, followed by flag hoisting by Chief Guest Shri Alok Kumar Tripathi and the National Anthem. A tricolour balloon release further reflected the patriotic spirit of the celebration.

The Chief Guest also inspected the CISF Unit and acknowledged the discipline and preparedness of the security personnel.
Emphasis on Safety and Collective Responsibility
Addressing the gathering, Shri Alok Kumar Tripathi extended his Independence Day greetings and highlighted the importance of dedication, safety, integrity and collective responsibility in achieving organisational excellence and contributing to nation-building.
Students Present Cultural Programmes
The celebrations featured cultural performances by students of DAV Public School, Tandwa, followed by a group dance presented by children of Bal Bhavan Welfare.
The programme also included the presentation of the Power Excel Award, GM Meritorious Awards, and prizes under the Health Champion, Utkarsh Scholarship, Employee Suggestion Scheme and Medha Pratiyogita categories, recognising achievements in various fields.
CISF Demonstrations Highlight Safety and Preparedness
A Fire Extinguishing Demonstration and Reflex Shooting Demonstration by CISF personnel showcased the importance of safety, preparedness, discipline and precision.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The Independence Day celebration reflected the spirit of patriotism, unity and collective responsibility among NTPC North Karanpura employees, their families and the wider community.
