"I am going through the most difficult days of my life", Hemant Soren shared an emotional post in memory of his father

Jharkhand News : In a deeply emotional social media post, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid tribute to his late father, Shibu Soren, founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and former Chief Minister, who passed away recently. As the state prepares for his final rites today, Hemant Soren opened his heart to the people of Jharkhand.

“I am going through the most difficult days of my life,” wrote Soren on social platform X.
“I haven’t just lost my father — Jharkhand has lost its soul, its guiding pillar.”

In his heartfelt note, Hemant described his father not just as “Baba,” but as his mentor, moral compass, and protector of the oppressed. He recalled Shibu Soren’s humble beginnings in Nemra village, his childhood marked by poverty, hunger, and early loss, and the fire ignited in him by the exploitation of feudal landlords, which shaped a lifetime of struggle.

“I saw him ploughing the fields, sitting among the people — not just speaking, but truly living their pain,” Hemant remembered.

He also shared a childhood memory of asking his father why people called him ‘Dishom Guru’.

“Because I made their fight my own,” Shibu would say.
The title, Hemant wrote, wasn’t given by the Parliament but earned from the hearts of the people.

Reflecting on Shibu Soren’s legacy, he wrote:

“He never saw power as an achievement. He saw Jharkhand not as a position, but as the identity of his people.”

In closing, Hemant vowed to carry forward his father’s struggle, promising:

“Jharkhand will not bow. I will not let your name fade, Baba. You may rest now; you’ve fulfilled your duty. It’s our turn to follow in your footsteps.”

Veer Shibu Zindabad, Dishom Guru Amar Rahein. Jai Jharkhand. Jai Jai Jharkhand.
