Offbeat News : A heated debate has erupted across India following the Supreme Court’s verdict on stray dogs. Amid the discussions, actor Ranvir Shorey stepped in to defend non-vegetarian animal lovers, who were being trolled online for eating meat while also loving dogs.
Taking to X, Shorey wrote, “Dear crazy vegetarians, those calling non-vegetarians hypocrites for being animal lovers — do you treat all plants the same? Do you treat all humans the same? Do you consider every man your father? Don’t lose your common sense in the arrogance of your morality. Non-meat eating has scientific and historical support, just like keeping pets. Please don’t confuse the two. If you can differentiate between your mouth and your feet, this should be easy to understand.”
His post triggered mixed reactions. Some users accused him of hypocrisy, with one commenting, “Loving dogs while ignoring the cruelty to other animals is double standards.” Another wrote, “We’ve never seen a tree that kills people. How can you even write this without laughing at yourself?”
While the debate continues, opinions remain divided on both the Supreme Court’s ruling and Shorey’s remarks.
