Jharkhand News : Cybercriminals are attempting to dupe dairy farmers in Jharkhand by misusing the names of government schemes. Acting promptly, the District Animal Husbandry Department has lodged a complaint with the Sadar police station.
According to officials, the fraudsters posed as the personal secretary of Jharkhand Agriculture Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey and promised scheme approvals for farmers. In return, they demanded advance payments to release scheme benefits.
District Animal Husbandry Officer Raj Narayan Saswat said that on Tuesday, several dairy farmers in the district received calls from mobile number 7063219301 and WhatsApp number 9038197598, where the callers identified themselves as Manoranjan Kumar, secretary to the minister.
Authorities have confirmed this as a case of cyber fraud and urged farmers to remain vigilant against such scams.
