Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Challenges Premanand Maharaj: “Recite a Single Sanskrit Word If You Can”

India News : Jagadguru Rambhadracharya has stirred a new debate with his sharp remarks about the popular spiritual figure Premanand Maharaj. In a recent interview, Rambhadracharya openly challenged Maharaj to speak even a single word in Sanskrit or to accurately interpret any of the Sanskrit shlokas he recites. “If he can do that, I’ll accept his knowledge,” he declared.

The remark comes in the context of Premanand Maharaj’s rising popularity, with several celebrities — including cricketer Virat Kohli — having sought his blessings in recent times.

Speaking candidly during the interview, Rambhadracharya said he considers Premanand Maharaj akin to a child in terms of spiritual depth. “If there are truly miracles, I challenge him to recite just one Sanskrit word in front of me,” he asserted. He further clarified that while he holds no personal malice against Premanand Maharaj, he does not consider him a scholar or a miraculous figure.

Rambhadracharya added, “A miracle is when someone can engage in scriptural discussions and explain Sanskrit shlokas accurately. That is true spiritual depth.” He also described Maharaj’s fame as “momentary” and appreciated his bhajans, but emphasized that calling them miracles is an exaggeration he cannot endorse.

The statement has sparked reactions across social media, especially considering the stature and following of both figures in the spiritual community.
