Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, on Thursday, handed over compensation cheques of ₹1 crore each to the families of three state government employees who lost their lives in different accidents while on duty. The beneficiaries include the families of Constable (Late) Ajit Kumar (Gumla District Police), Constable (Late) Anil Kumar Jha (Seraikela District Police), and Teacher (Late) Sushil Kumar Marandi (a President’s Award recipient) from Jamtara district.
Speaking at the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, the Chief Minister said, “The state government stands firmly with the families of those who lost their lives while serving the state. It is our duty to ensure they receive all rights and respect due to them.”
He emphasized that the state remains committed to supporting the dependents of deceased government employees with dignity and timely assistance. The financial support of ₹1 crore each was provided under a special insurance coverage scheme in collaboration with the State Bank of India.
Grateful family members expressed heartfelt thanks to the Chief Minister, stating that the government’s efforts are commendable. “This amount will go a long way in securing our families’ future, especially for our children’s education and daily needs,” they said.
Present on the occasion were Ministers Radhakrishna Kishore and Dr. Irfan Ansari, along with senior officials from State Bank of India including Jharkhand Head and General Manager Vivek Chandra Jaiswal, Deputy GM Manoj Kumar, and Chief Manager Vikas Kumar Pandey.
