Jharkhand News : National Sports Day was observed with great enthusiasm at NTPC’s Coal Mining Headquarters (CMHQ), as employees came together to celebrate the spirit of fitness and sportsmanship.
The event commenced with the administration of the Fit India Pledge, led by Naveen Jain, RED (Mining) & ED (FM), NTPC, and CEO, NML. Following the pledge, employees participated in an online Fit India Quiz that tested their awareness about health and fitness.
The celebrations continued with the inaugural matches of carrom and table tennis, featuring active participation from senior officials including Naveen Jain, K.C. Muraleedharan (CGM, CC-FM), D. Shrikhande (GM, TS), R.C. Majhi (GM, C&M), and Prabhat Ram (GM, HR).
Subsequent rounds of carrom and table tennis were conducted across NTPC’s Chutia and Kadru offices, drawing enthusiastic participation from employees in large numbers.
The ongoing celebrations also include outdoor sporting events such as volleyball, cricket, and tug of war between employee teams.
The mega event was jointly organized by the Employee Welfare Association of CMHQ and the HR Department, aimed at promoting physical fitness and a culture of sports among the workforce.
