‘Param Sundari’: A Refreshing Take on Romance, Humor, and Heart

Offbeat News : Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor’s latest film, “Param Sundari,” brings a refreshing twist to a familiar love story through its unique screenplay and engaging presentation.

Directed by Tushar Jalota, Param Sundari revolves around Param (played by Sidharth Malhotra), the son of a wealthy Delhi businessman (Sanjay Kapoor), who has faced multiple startup failures. In an attempt to prove himself, Param invests in a dating app developed by his quirky friend Shekhar (Abhishek Banerjee). Through the app, Param meets a charming young woman (Janhvi Kapoor) from a village in Kerala.

Bound by a deadline set by his father to find a life partner, Param checks into the woman’s homestay. What starts with friction slowly blossoms into friendship and eventually, love. While the storyline follows a conventional structure, Jalota’s direction breathes new life into the narrative with witty dialogues, a surprising interval twist, and visually striking moments—particularly a memorable boat race and a compelling climax.

Performances are one of the film’s key strengths. Sidharth Malhotra is effortlessly charming, while Janhvi Kapoor stands out with her culturally nuanced portrayal. Sanjay Kapoor delivers an energetic performance, and supporting actors Manjot Singh and Renji (Venu) add depth to the film’s emotional and comic layers.

The music by Sachin-Jigar complements the film’s lighthearted tone. Songs like “Paradesiya” bring out the romance, while “Danger” adds energy. The background score is impactful, and the cinematography beautifully captures the lush landscapes of Kerala. The art direction and costumes also stay true to the film’s aesthetic and regional flavor.

In all, Param Sundari is a breezy, entertaining Bollywood romantic comedy with a blend of humor, emotion, and picturesque storytelling that leaves audiences smiling.
