Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren reiterated his government’s commitment to establishing a distinct identity for the state in the field of education during an appointment and felicitation ceremony held at the Secretariat on Tuesday.

CM Soren distributed appointment letters to 975 newly appointed postgraduate trained teachers, assistant professors, and laboratory assistants. He also felicitated top-performing students from JAC, CBSE, ICSE boards, and CM Schools of Excellence, along with successful candidates of the government-run “Aakanksha” coaching program.

The CM announced co-education at Netarhat Residential School and revealed plans to open three more schools modeled after Netarhat. He emphasized that government schools are being upgraded to match private institutions, resulting in increased demand for admissions in CM Excellence Schools.

Top board performers were awarded ₹3 lakh, laptops, and smartphones, while JAC toppers received scooters. Schools with 100% results in Class 10 and top-performing “Aakanksha” students were also honoured.

Present on the occasion were ministers Radhakrishna Kishore, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, and senior education officials.
