Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met with a joint delegation of the Metropolitan Durga Puja Committee, District Durga Puja Committee, and Shri Mahavir Mandal Ranchi at his official residence on Wednesday. The delegation discussed preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja 2025.
The members appreciated the state government’s support under CM Soren’s leadership, highlighting seamless arrangements in electricity, water supply, and sanitation during the festival. Around 157 Puja pandals across Ranchi and nearby areas are gearing up for celebrations.
The delegation requested continued government assistance, presenting the CM with a Durga idol, chunari, and ceremonial attire as a mark of respect and inviting him to visit the pandals with his family.
CM Soren assured full support and urged coordination between district administration and Puja committees to ensure peaceful festivities. He extended his greetings and emphasized the government’s commitment to developing Ranchi as a model city, focusing on cleanliness, infrastructure, and inclusive growth with public participation.
Officials present included Ranchi DM Manjunath Bhajantri, DIG-cum-Senior SP Chandan Kumar Sinha, and various Puja committee leaders.
