Jharkhand News : Paras HEC Hospital has introduced state-of-the-art Positron Emission Tomography – Computed Tomography (PET-CT) scan services, marking a significant milestone in advanced medical diagnostics for Jharkhand. This technology plays a crucial role in the accurate detection of cancer, neurological disorders, and cardiac diseases.
With the addition of PET-CT, Paras HEC Hospital now offers comprehensive oncology care under one roof, including medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology. This makes it the first hospital in Ranchi to provide complete multi-super specialty facilities for cancer diagnosis and treatment, reducing the need for patients to travel to metro cities for advanced care.
Oncologists Dr. Gunjesh, Dr. Nishant, and Dr. Neeru Jyotsna said the PET-CT scan helps identify abnormal cells, detect the exact location and spread of cancer, and monitor treatment progress. The technology enables doctors to diagnose diseases at an early stage and provide timely treatment. Facility Director Dr. Nitesh Kumar added that cancer patients under the State Employee Health Insurance Scheme and Ayushman Bharat Yojana are also being treated at Paras Hospital. The availability of PET-CT will further enhance precise and quality treatment for these beneficiaries as well.
