Jharkhand News : Ranchi Police and the district administration conducted an extensive raid at Birsa Munda Central Jail (Hotwar) on Friday morning. The search operation lasted for over three hours, during which every ward, including those housing notorious criminals, the women’s ward, cells, and even the jail hospital, was thoroughly inspected.
The raid was carried out under the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri and SSP Rakesh Ranjan. It was led by City SP Paras Rana and Sadar SDO Utkarsh Gupta. The search team included DySP (Sadar), executive magistrates, Sadar police station in-charge, 12 sub-inspectors, and a large number of police personnel.
Despite the intensive search, no objectionable or illegal items were found inside the jail. Authorities confirmed that everything was found to be normal and under control.
City SP said the raid lasted for more than three hours and every ward was searched, but nothing suspicious was recovered.
