Jharkhand News : In a spine-chilling revelation, police in Golmuri, Jamshedpur, have cracked the murder of 22-year-old Ajay Basa alias Jhantu, uncovering a dark tale of occult practices and human sacrifice. According to police, Ajay’s friend and neighbor, Sandeep Prasad, murdered him as part of a black magic ritual to attain “supernatural powers.”
The police have arrested five people in connection with the case, including Sandeep, his brother, mother, brother-in-law, and friend Bharat, a resident of Kailatown.
Murder Planned for 3 Years
During interrogation, the accused Sandeep made a shocking confession: he had been planning to sacrifice Ajay for nearly three years to achieve tantric “siddhi” (spiritual powers). Sandeep had been involved in occult practices for a long time and believed that the human sacrifice of a close friend would give him the powers he desired.
Bharat, one of the co-accused, admitted that he knew of Sandeep’s intentions in advance but stayed silent out of fear.
How the Crime Was Carried Out
According to police, on Monday, Sandeep and Bharat bought a large iron trunk from the local market and placed it in a rented room in Kailatown. Later, they lured Ajay to the room under the pretense of a party. After getting him intoxicated, they tied his hands and feet and locked him inside the trunk.
That night, Sandeep brought the trunk to his house and began performing tantric rituals. Around midnight, he allegedly slit Ajay’s throat with a sharp weapon, offering his blood as part of the ritual. As Ajay gasped for life, his body was dumped in an alley near the house.
Police reached the scene upon receiving information, and station in-charge Sanjay Suman rushed Ajay to the hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Killed Ajay’s Father Too, Claims Accused
In a more horrifying twist, Sandeep also confessed to using occult methods to cause the death of Ajay’s father, Jagdish Basa, a year earlier. After his death, Sandeep allegedly acquired his hotel business.
Sandeep claimed that he had been mentally controlling Ajay through black magic for some time and had long been preparing for the ritual sacrifice.
Family History of Suspicious Deaths
Adding to the mystery, Sandeep’s father died by suicide five years ago, and his sister died under suspicious circumstances. Police suspect a deeper pattern and are now investigating possible links between all the deaths.
Authorities have recovered the trunk, knife, and ritual items from the crime scene. Further investigation is ongoing.
