Jharkhand News : A serious incident involving the family members of BJP State President and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi came to light on Friday. His wife and daughter-in-law were reportedly misbehaved with by members of a local committee in the Amrit Nagar area under the Muffasil police station jurisdiction.
According to the FIR filed by Preeti Kisku, Marandi’s daughter-in-law, the incident occurred on Thursday night while she was traveling from Giridih to Ranchi with her mother-in-law. They had stopped at Amrit Nagar when members of the local puja committee allegedly misbehaved with them. When their driver intervened, he was assaulted and injured.
Preeti Kisku reported the matter to the Muffasil Police Station, seeking strict action against the culprits. Shockingly, police personnel were present during the incident but reportedly failed to prevent the misbehavior or the assault.
Following the complaint, Inspector General (IG) Sunil Bhaskar instructed the Hazaribagh SP to identify and take action against those responsible. The IG confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway.
This incident, involving the family of a senior political leader and former Chief Minister, has sparked political and public concern.
