Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has received significant relief after the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) Appellate Tribunal in Delhi directed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to immediately release his seized BMW car. The luxury vehicle was confiscated from Soren’s Delhi residence during a raid in connection with a suspected land scam case.
The ED had conducted a search at his Delhi residence on January 29, 2024, as part of its money laundering probe linked to the alleged land scam. During the raid, the agency seized the BMW along with several documents and other materials. Soren later challenged the seizure before the PMLA Tribunal, which has now ruled in his favor.
