Jharkhand News : A massive election rally of the JMM alliance was held on Monday in Musabani ahead of the by-election for the Ghatshila Assembly seat scheduled for November 11. Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the gathering in support of Somesh Chandra Soren, the JMM alliance candidate and son of late minister Ramdas Soren.
During his speech, the Chief Minister asserted that the Jharkhand government is for the tribals and indigenous people, not for traders. He said his government has worked to ensure the rights and development of the tribal and native communities of the state.
Soren paid tribute to late Ramdas Soren, a veteran Jharkhand movement leader, saying the by-election is being held due to his untimely demise. He expressed confidence that Somesh Chandra Soren would fulfill his father’s unfinished dreams with the support of the people of Ghatshila.
The Chief Minister cautioned voters against misleading campaigns by opposition leaders and urged them to stand united and vote for the JMM alliance.
“Somesh Chandra Soren is the son of this soil. He will work among the people to set a new direction for development in Ghatshila,” Soren said.
Describing Somesh as “a blank slate,” he added that whatever the people of Ghatshila wish will be written on it. He assured that the party knows when and whom to make a minister, always keeping the public’s expectations in mind.
Soren also warned voters to beware of opportunist leaders who betray the party and the people for personal gains.
Ending his address, the Chief Minister appealed to voters to ensure a massive victory for Somesh Chandra Soren, so that the dream of a developed Ghatshila can be realized.
The event was attended by Minister Deepak Birua, former MLA Kunal Sarangi, former MP Suman Mahato, Laxman Tudu, Baghray Mandi, Gaurang Mahali, and several other leaders.
