Jharkhand News : Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Chandra Bhushan Sharma met Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday. During the meeting, the VC briefed the Chief Minister on the academic progress of the university and discussed strategies to further strengthen higher education in Jharkhand.
Prof. Sharma presented his book “Shiksha, Samaj aur Rajneeti” to the Chief Minister. He also gifted a specially crafted angavastra made by students of the Fashion Designing Department of KB Women’s College, Hazaribagh. The Chief Minister praised the artwork and creativity of the students and assured full government support to showcase their talent at larger platforms.
He also instructed officials to ensure the availability of necessary materials for the students and to enhance their textile art and painting skills.
🟩 Proposal for Establishing ‘Dishom Guru Shibu Soren Chair’
Prof. Sharma proposed the establishment of a ‘Dishom Guru Shibu Soren Chair’ at Vinoba Bhave University. Chief Minister Hemant Soren welcomed the proposal, saying the research chair would help carry forward Guruji’s thoughts and inspire the younger generation.
The Chief Minister directed authorities to implement the proposal at the earliest. Prof. Sharma expressed gratitude to the CM for responding positively and ensuring swift action.
