Jharkhand News : On Tuesday, the Jharkhand Under-14 Boys Football Team met Chief Minister Hemant Soren at the Jharkhand Assembly. The Chief Minister congratulated all the players, coaches, and support staff on becoming National Champions and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
During the meeting, CM Soren highlighted the immense potential of sports in Jharkhand. He assured that the state government is fully committed to the holistic development of athletes and providing them recognition at national and international levels. He further stated that the talent and dedication of the state’s youth are taking Jharkhand’s pride to new heights.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that Jharkhand players will continue to set new benchmarks in the world of sports.
It is noteworthy that the Under-14 Boys Football Team of Jharkhand excelled at the 69th School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National School Football Championship held in Umaria, Madhya Pradesh, from December 1 to 6, 2025, and clinched the national title. In a thrilling final, Jharkhand defeated Punjab 6–5 in a penalty shootout to claim the championship. The competition was organized under the Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC).
During the interaction, the players mentioned that the state government’s sports policies and incentive programs continuously motivate them to perform at their best.
