Want Free LPG Cylinder? Complete Aadhaar e-KYC at Home to Get Subsidy

More News : The central government has introduced a major relief for millions of LPG consumers and beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). The Aadhaar-based biometric e-KYC process for LPG subsidy has now become completely free, simple, and accessible from home. Consumers no longer need to visit gas agencies or stand in long queues, as the entire process can be completed in just a few minutes using a smartphone.

The government’s main objective behind Aadhaar-linked e-KYC is to ensure that LPG subsidies reach genuine beneficiaries and to eliminate fake or duplicate gas connections. Aadhaar authentication has now become mandatory to continue receiving LPG subsidy, especially under the PM Ujjwala Yojana.

Officials have clarified that LPG users who fail to complete e-KYC within the stipulated time may face subsidy suspension, difficulties in future cylinder bookings, or even temporary deactivation of their gas connection. Therefore, completing Aadhaar e-KYC on time is crucial for every LPG consumer.

How to Complete LPG e-KYC from Home Using Mobile

The government has made the LPG e-KYC process extremely user-friendly. Consumers can follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your mobile browser and visit https://pmuy.gov.in/e-kyc.html

  2. Scan the QR code available on the page or proceed using the direct link

  3. Select your Oil Marketing Company — IOC, BPCL, or HPCL

  4. Download the Aadhaar FaceRD App on your smartphone

  5. Complete the facial scan as per instructions

  6. Once verified, your biometric Aadhaar e-KYC will be successfully completed

The entire process takes only a few minutes and does not involve any charges.

Why e-KYC Is Essential for PM Ujjwala Beneficiaries

Under the PM Ujjwala Yojana, eligible beneficiaries receive a targeted LPG subsidy of up to ₹300 per cylinder. Aadhaar authentication is compulsory to continue availing this benefit. Failure to complete e-KYC may result in:

  • Stoppage of LPG subsidy

  • Delay or denial in gas cylinder delivery

  • Temporary deactivation of LPG connection

The government has urged all PMUY beneficiaries to complete this process at the earliest.

Where to Get Help

Consumers facing difficulties in e-KYC can contact their nearest LPG distributor or call the toll-free helpline 1800-2333-555 for assistance.
