Upon his arrival at Muscat International Airport, the Prime Minister was accorded a grand red-carpet welcome, reflecting the strong and historic ties between India and Oman. Oman’s armed forces presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour as a mark of respect.

Sharing images from his arrival on social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He described Oman as a land of deep historical connections and enduring friendship with India. The Prime Minister stated that his visit would provide an opportunity to explore new avenues of cooperation and further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two nations.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the Prime Minister’s visit to Oman will include high-level bilateral and delegation-level meetings with the country’s top political leadership. Regional and global developments of mutual interest are also likely to feature prominently in the talks.

Officials indicated that several agreements and memorandums of understanding may be signed during the visit, aimed at enhancing cooperation in key sectors.
