President Murmu’s Jharkhand Visit: Full Schedule of Jamshedpur, Gumla and Raideeh Events

Jharkhand News : President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Ranchi on Sunday evening as part of her three-day visit to Jharkhand. She was received at Ranchi Airport by Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar and Chief Minister Hemant Soren, where she was also accorded a Guard of Honour. From the airport, the President proceeded to Raj Bhavan (Lok Bhavan), where she stayed overnight.

On Monday morning around 9:30 am, the President will leave for Jamshedpur, where she will attend the centenary celebration of the Ol Chiki script of the Santhali language. Later in the day, she will participate in the 15th Convocation Ceremony of NIT Jamshedpur. After completing the programmes, she will return to Ranchi for an overnight stay at Lok Bhavan.

On Tuesday morning, President Murmu will travel to Raideeh block in Gumla district to attend the Inter-State Tribal Cultural Confluence – Kartik Jatra 2025 as the chief guest. During the event, she will pay floral tribute to the statue of late Kartik Oraon at Pankhraj Saheb Kartik Oraon Chowk, Manjhatoli. The programme will include welcome addresses by organisers, followed by the President’s address around noon.

The inter-state cultural event will also be attended by Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on SC/ST Affairs Faggan Singh Kulaste, among other dignitaries.

After the Gumla programme, the President will return to Ranchi Airport in the afternoon and depart for New Delhi, concluding her Jharkhand tour.

Welcoming the President, Chief Minister Hemant Soren posted on social media, extending greetings and respect to her on behalf of Jharkhand. Governor Gangwar also welcomed her, stating that her visit has filled the entire state with enthusiasm and pride.
