Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren met Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday morning at Lok Bhavan. The meeting was a courtesy call, during which cordial discussions were held.
Following the interaction, President Droupadi Murmu departed from Lok Bhavan for Gumla district. She is scheduled to attend the inter-state cultural event ‘Kartik Jatra 2025’ as the chief guest at Raidih block in Gumla.
The President’s visit has prompted heightened security arrangements across the region, with district administration and security agencies remaining on alert. Enthusiasm was evident among locals and cultural organizations ahead of the prestigious event.
‘Kartik Jatra’ is considered an important cultural gathering that promotes tribal traditions, folk arts, and social harmony. Artists and cultural troupes from Jharkhand and neighboring states are participating in the festival.
