Jharkhand News : The district administration has intensified its crackdown on illegal mining, transportation, and storage activities. A meeting of the District Mining Task Force was held at the Collectorate conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rituraj. During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the actions taken so far in compliance with directives issued in previous meetings.
The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned officials and police station in-charges to conduct joint surprise raids to effectively curb illegal mining operations across the district. He made it clear that strict punitive action must be taken against individuals found involved in any irregularities.
Key issues discussed during the review included the status of illegal sand mining, transportation, and storage, inspection procedures, and royalty collection. Necessary instructions were issued to strengthen monitoring and enforcement mechanisms.
🚓 Police Directed to Take Immediate Action
Addressing the meeting, Superintendent of Police Anudeep Singh instructed all concerned officers and police station in-charges to ensure that not a single vehicle involved in illegal mining operates in their respective jurisdictions. He emphasized the need to identify offenders promptly, register FIRs without delay, and initiate strict legal action.

The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Officer Riya Singh, the District Mining Officer, all Circle Officers, and police station in-charges from across the district.
The administration reiterated that regular monitoring and enforcement drives will continue and that no leniency will be shown towards those involved in illegal mining activities.
