Jharkhand News : Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 1910 candidates selected through the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Combined Graduate Level Exam – 2023 (CGL), giving the people of the state a significant New Year gift. At the appointment letter distribution ceremony held at Morhabadi Maidan, CM Soren addressed the newly appointed candidates, emphasizing that the hard work and perseverance that brought them this success should now be dedicated to serving the state.
The Chief Minister stated that the CGL exam faced several challenges, but the government and JSSC maintained complete transparency throughout the process. He said, “With sincere intentions, success is certain.” He assured the candidates that the government remains committed to conducting transparent recruitment and examination processes.
He urged the appointees to help other youths around them become capable and self-reliant. The government has also introduced safety and insurance schemes for both permanent and contract employees.
CM Soren highlighted that since 2019, the government has provided jobs to thousands of youths, and in just one year (2024), nearly 9,000 candidates received appointment letters, with 1,910 more being appointed now.
He emphasized that the government’s focus is on empowering the poor, farmers, workers, tribals, Dalits, women, and youth. Through initiatives like the Maimaya Samman Yojana and other welfare programs, disadvantaged groups are becoming self-reliant.
The ceremony was attended by ministers Radha Krishna Kishore, Deepak Birua, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Shilpi Neha Tirki, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, MLAs Kalpana Soren, Sabita Mahto, Rajesh Kachhap, Sukh Ram Urao, Suresh Kumar Baitha, and senior officials including Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar and Development Commissioner Ajay Kumar Singh.
