Jharkhand News : A shocking and gruesome incident came to light on Friday morning in the Adityapur area of Seraikela-Kharsawan district in Jharkhand, after a headless body of an unidentified man was found on the railway track. The incident created panic in the area and spread fear among local residents.
The body was spotted near pole number 258/22–24 on the railway line connecting Adityapur station to Gamharia Junction. The naked torso of the man was found lying beside the track, while his severed head was located a short distance away, raising serious suspicion and concern among people in the vicinity.
According to eyewitnesses, locals noticed the body near the railway line around 10 am and immediately informed the police. On receiving the information, a team from Adityapur Police Station reached the spot. Station in-charge Inspector Vinod Tirkey inspected the scene along with police personnel.
The police have taken the body into custody and initiated legal procedures. Efforts are underway to establish the identity of the deceased by circulating information in nearby areas. Till the filing of this report, the identity of the deceased remained unknown.
Police officials said that prima facie the case appears to be a railway accident, but considering the condition of the body, the possibility of criminal conspiracy or foul play cannot be ruled out. All possible angles are being examined. The exact cause of death will be clear only after the post-mortem report and further investigation.
Following the incident, an atmosphere of fear and tension prevails in areas adjacent to the railway line. Locals have demanded a swift and transparent investigation.
The police have appealed to the public that anyone having information about the deceased should immediately inform the police, so that the truth behind the incident can be established.
