Jharkhand News : The Adani Foundation organised a special “Outstanding Women” recognition and motivation programme at its stitching training centre in Dumaria, Godda district. Women trainees linked with the tailoring programme, master trainers, and members of the Adani Foundation team participated in the event. Around 80 participants attended the programme.
Adani Foundation representatives appreciated the efforts and progress of the women and encouraged them to continue moving forward towards self-reliance. The key objective of the initiative is to support women from rural and economically weaker families by providing tailoring skills and self-employment opportunities.
Over 2,000 Women Trained in 7 Years
According to the foundation, more than 2,000 women have received stitching training in Godda over the past seven years. Many trained women are now earning around ₹5,000 to ₹6,000 per month, helping strengthen their families’ financial stability.
Exhibition and Awards
During the programme, women shared their experiences and inspiring success stories. An exhibition of stitched garments was also organised and received strong appreciation from attendees. Women who delivered outstanding performance, along with master trainers, were honoured with awards.
At the end of the event, participants thanked the Adani Foundation, saying the initiative has brought them new confidence, dignity, and recognition. The programme is being viewed as a meaningful step towards women’s empowerment and social development in the Godda region.
