Jharkhand News : During the World Economic Forum being held in Davos, Switzerland, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met Ashish Kumar Das, Executive Vice President of Infosys Global, California. The meeting focused on Jharkhand’s long-term development vision and possibilities of collaboration for technology-driven growth.
According to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the Infosys delegation appreciated CM Hemant Soren’s leadership and forward-looking approach toward development. They particularly praised initiatives such as re-skilling of youth, the concept of a Technology Tower, and the digital transformation of the mining sector through advanced technological interventions, calling them inspiring steps for the state.
Both sides agreed to work together to empower Jharkhand’s youth with digital and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based skills. Further discussions were proposed on leveraging Infosys’ Wingspan platform for large-scale skill development in the state.
The meeting also reached a consensus on presenting Infosys’ AI-based digital transformation solutions aimed at improving productivity, safety, and efficiency in the mining sector. A virtual session is scheduled for February, where technical experts from Infosys and officials from the Jharkhand government will participate.
Infosys Global extended an invitation to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the Chief Secretary, and senior state officials to visit Infosys House. During the visit, cutting-edge AI-driven innovations and digital solutions developed by the company will be showcased.
The meeting is being seen as a significant step toward accelerating digital transformation, skill development, and technology-led industrial growth in Jharkhand. Continuous engagements by the Chief Minister in Davos on IT, AI, and emerging technologies are expected to provide a clear and strong development roadmap for the youth of Jharkhand.
