Jharkhand News : ESL Steel Limited, a Vedanta Group company and one of India’s leading integrated steel producers, celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great pride, discipline and patriotic enthusiasm at its Siyaljori Plant in Bokaro district of Jharkhand. The entire plant premises echoed with the spirit of nationalism and unity.
The celebrations began with a disciplined and impressive parade by the Security Department of ESL Steel Limited, showcasing teamwork, commitment and dedication. This was followed by the unfurling of the National Flag by Ravish Sharma, Deputy CEO & Whole-Time Director, ESL Steel Limited. On the occasion, employees and business partners were felicitated for their outstanding contributions and exemplary performance.
The event was attended by members of the management, employees and their families, shop-floor workers, security personnel, business partners, representatives from nearby villages and public representatives. The wide participation reflected ESL Steel’s strong engagement with its workforce and surrounding communities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to inclusive growth and shared progress.
Around 15 employees were recognised for their exceptional performance in key areas such as safety, housekeeping, 5S initiatives and in-house construction projects, highlighting the organisation’s focus on operational excellence and workplace discipline.
Addressing the gathering, Ravish Sharma stated, “The role of industries in nation-building goes beyond production. ESL Steel continues to work closely with local communities to drive development, generate employment and promote self-reliance.” He also appreciated the discipline and dedication of the security team, whose efforts ensured the smooth and dignified conduct of the event.
