Jharkhand News : The Jharkhand government has carried out a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 16 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and changing the leadership of several key departments. The order was issued late Wednesday night by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha.
As per the notification, some officers have been given additional responsibilities apart from their existing posts.
Key appointments and additional charges

Mastram Meena, Additional Chief Secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, has been appointed Member, Board of Revenue until further orders.

Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Disaster Management Department, has been posted as Secretary, Food, Public Distribution and Consumer Affairs Department.

Manoj Kumar, Secretary, Tourism Department, has been made Secretary, Rural Development Department.

Vipra Bhal, Secretary, Transport Department, has been transferred as Secretary, Disaster Management Department.

Manoj Kumar, Secretary, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department, has been appointed Commissioner, South Chotanagpur Division.

Mukesh Kumar, Secretary, Planning and Development Department, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Tourism Department.

Umashankar Singh, Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Women, Child Development and Social Security Department.

Abu Imran, Secretary (Expenditure), Finance Department, has been posted as Secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department.

Sanjay Kumar, Member Secretary, State Food Commission, has been appointed Commissioner, Santhal Pargana Division.

Sandeep Singh, Special Secretary, Finance Department, has been made Labour Commissioner.

Gholap Ramesh Gorakh, Special Secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, has been appointed Director, Civil Defence.

Kumud Sahay, Director, Directorate of Statistics, has been posted as Commissioner, Palamu Division.

Ravi Ranjan Kumar, Labour Commissioner, has been transferred as Commissioner, Kolhan Division.

Shashi Ranjan, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, has been appointed Additional Secretary, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department. He has also been given additional charge as Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, until further orders.
Administrative reshuffle aimed at efficiency
Officials said the reshuffle is aimed at streamlining administration and improving governance efficiency across departments. With several officers entrusted with additional responsibilities, the government expects better coordination and faster implementation of key schemes.
