Ramgarh Firing Case: SP Visits Coal Trader’s Home, Probe Intensified

Jharkhand News : The investigation into the firing incident targeting a coal trader in Ramgarh gathered pace as Ajay Kumar, Superintendent of Police, visited the crime scene. The SP met coal trader Gajanand Prasad at his residence and spoke with family members to gather a detailed account of the incident.

After assessing the ground situation, the SP issued instructions to concerned officers to conduct a thorough probe and ensure the swift arrest of those responsible.

Nine rounds fired late at night

The incident occurred late Wednesday night in Patratu police station limits, at Sareya Tola, where unidentified assailants allegedly opened fire nine times outside the homes of Gajanand Prasad and Nitish Saw before fleeing the spot.

Claim of responsibility under scrutiny

Meanwhile, a person claiming links to the banned outfit Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) has reportedly taken responsibility for the firing and issued warnings in a purported statement. Police, however, said no official confirmation has been made and the claim is being verified from all angles.

FIR registered; raids underway

Police have registered an FIR in the case and are examining CCTV footage, technical evidence, and other leads to identify the attackers. Raids are being conducted at suspected locations, and additional police forces have been deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident.

Authorities said the investigation remains a priority and assured strict action once the culprits are identified.
