Jharkhand News : During the Budget Session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly on Friday, Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced that the state government will establish an Organ Donation Commission in Jharkhand. The announcement came during the discussion on the Governor’s address in the Assembly.

The Chief Minister highlighted a recent case where a 10-month-old girl, Alam Jelly Abraham, donated her entire body after being declared brain dead. Her parents, Saren Ann John and Anil Abraham, showed great courage in fulfilling their daughter’s wish. Hemant Soren emphasized that the government aims to save lives and promote organ donation, giving hope and a second chance to those whose organs are failing.

First Time No Amendments on Governor’s Address

Hemant Soren noted that, for the first time in 25 years of Jharkhand’s legislative history, no amendments were proposed on the Governor’s address. He said this reflects growing public recognition of the government’s achievements. He added that many of the state government’s initiatives are now being adopted by other states, whereas earlier Jharkhand used to follow others.

Focus on Development, Social Security, and Education

The Chief Minister said the government is actively working in areas of social security, quality education, and better healthcare. He expressed his vision that Jharkhand will become a leading state by 2050. He emphasized that the government is “a government from the villages” and that strong villages are the foundation for a strong state.

Strong Message to the Opposition

Hemant Soren criticized the opposition, saying they are hesitant to support the government and are only focused on obstruction. He reiterated the government’s commitment to include every citizen in development initiatives and to transform Jharkhand from one of the country’s most backward states to a leading state.

The Assembly proceedings were then adjourned by the Speaker until Saturday at 11 AM.
