Air Ambulance Crash: Health Minister Irfan Ansari Reviews Situation in Chatra

Jharkhand News : Following the tragic air ambulance crash in Simaria block of Chatra district, which claimed the lives of seven people, Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari visited Chatra Sadar Hospital to review the situation. The visit was made on the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

The minister held a high-level review meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, and the Civil Surgeon to assess the aftermath of the incident and the response by the administration. He said that preliminary observations indicate the crash may be linked to aviation safety standards and flight operation procedures.

Black box and flight data to be examined

Health Minister Irfan Ansari stated that an expert investigation team has been called to conduct a detailed probe into the incident. As part of the investigation, the following will be examined:

In addition, authorities will review weather conditions at the time of the crash, communication with Air Traffic Control (ATC), the aircraft’s maintenance records, and the pilot’s experience.

Strict action if negligence found

The minister made it clear that if any negligence is found during the investigation, strict action will be taken against those responsible. He also assured that the state government will provide all possible assistance and compensation to the families of the victims.

The incident has cast a pall of grief across the state, while administrative and health authorities remain on alert as investigations continue.
