Jharkhand News : The Jharkhand government and Punjab National Bank signed an MOU on Tuesday for a salary account package for government employees. Hemant Soren, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, called it a new chapter in the partnership between the state government and the bank.
The Chief Minister emphasized that banks play a key role not only in financial transactions of the general public but also for government employees. Punjab National Bank has a significant role in sectors like business, agriculture, and rural development.
Chief Minister’s Remarks
CM Soren said that banks are not limited to financial operations; they also carry social responsibilities. This MOU reflects such a commitment. He expressed confidence that Punjab National Bank will successfully fulfill its objectives in partnership with the state government.
He added that better coordination between the state government and the bank will benefit both government employees and the general public.
Officials Present at the Ceremony
The MOU signing ceremony was held at the Jharkhand Secretariat, with the following officials in attendance:
- Ministers: Radha Krishna Kishore, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Deepika Pandey Singh, Shilpi Neha Tirki
- Chief Secretary: Avinash Kumar
- Punjab National Bank GM: Ashish Kumar Chaturvedi
- Divisional Head: Awadhesh Jha
- Deputy Divisional Head: Rakesh Kumar Srivastava
Other senior officials from the state government and Punjab National Bank were also present.
