Jharkhand News : The price of domestic LPG cylinders has been increased once again. The cost of a 14.2 kg household LPG cylinder has been raised by ₹60, which is expected to impact household budgets across the country.
New Price in Ranchi ₹970
In Ranchi, the price of a domestic LPG cylinder has now reached ₹970, up from the previous price of ₹910.50. The revised price has come into effect from March 7 (Saturday).
Prices in Major Cities
After the hike, the new LPG cylinder prices in major cities are:
-
Delhi: ₹913
-
Mumbai: ₹912
-
Kolkata: ₹930
-
Chennai: ₹928
However, the subsidy for beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will continue as before.
Impact of Middle East Tensions
Experts say the price hike is linked to rising global energy concerns. Due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East and disruptions near the Strait of Hormuz, several oil shipments have been affected. This has started influencing petroleum product prices worldwide, including in India.
Analysts believe that continued instability in global oil supply could lead to further fluctuations in petroleum product prices in the coming months.
