Jharkhand News : During the Jharkhand Assembly Budget Session, MLA Kalpana Soren on Friday praised Chief Minister Hemant Soren, stating that the CM fulfills the promises he makes.
Kalpana Soren was speaking in the Assembly against the cut motion on the budget demands of the Departments of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare, along with the Women, Child Development and Social Security Department.
She said that the Abua government neither fears nor bows down and continues to work in the interest of the people. According to her, the current budget is dedicated to women’s dignity, children’s future, and social justice.
Kalpana Soren highlighted that women in Jharkhand are now actively contributing to the state’s development and that several schemes have been introduced for the first time to empower the state’s women population.
She informed the Assembly that ₹14,065 crore has been allocated in the budget for the Maiya Samman Yojana, under which the state government provides ₹2,500 per month to women from its own resources. She added that no BJP-ruled state has implemented election promises in such a manner, whereas the Jharkhand government has successfully delivered on its commitment.
She also accused the central government of reducing scholarship funds, which has affected students.
Kalpana Soren further stated that the Savitribai Phule Scheme aims to build confidence among adolescent girls and prevent child marriage. She emphasized that the budget has been prepared keeping the future generation in mind. The budget allocates 34% for women and 11% for children.
She also pointed out that during nearly 18–19 years of BJP rule, about 12 lakh people were connected to pension schemes, while in just five to six years of the Abua government, 34 lakh people have been brought under pension benefits.
Kalpana Soren concluded by saying that the Abua government does not run only from Ranchi but works with a focus on the needs of villages, ensuring welfare and development for the common people.
