Jharkhand News : The closing ceremony of the 55th National Safety Week 2026 was organized with enthusiasm and active participation at PVUNL on March 11, 2026. The event witnessed the participation of PVUNL employees, officials from Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), personnel from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and workers from various contracting agencies.

The program began with a welcome address by the AGM (Safety), who highlighted the importance of continuous safety awareness and collective responsibility in achieving the goal of a zero-accident workplace.
On the occasion, PVUNL CEO A. K. Sehgal administered the Safety Pledge to employees, officers, CISF representatives, and workers, urging everyone to follow safety standards at every stage of work.
During the ceremony, GM (Project) Bishnu Dutta Das, GM (O&M) Manish Kheterpal, the DC of CISF, and the PD of BHEL delivered inspiring speeches emphasizing the need to strengthen safety culture, strict adherence to safety rules, and effective coordination among all stakeholders.
The event also featured a safety song and a street play (nukkad natak) to spread awareness about safe work practices. During the program, 70 safety-conscious workers from various agencies were honored for their outstanding contribution to maintaining workplace safety.
The ceremony concluded by reiterating the National Safety Day 2026 theme — “Engage, Educate & Empower People to Enhance Safety.” Participants were encouraged to continue working toward building a safe and accident-free workplace.
