Brake Fail Trailer Hits Auto and Bus in Hazaribagh, Two Dead

Jharkhand News : A tragic road accident occurred on Saturday morning in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand, leaving two people dead and around a dozen others injured. The incident took place around 9:30 AM near Ghato Parej Chowk in the Charhi police station area.

According to initial reports, the accident happened when the brakes of a speeding trailer truck reportedly failed. The driver lost control of the vehicle, and the trailer rammed into an auto-rickshaw and a Sagar bus (JH 02 BT 5683) from behind.

During the collision, a fruit vendor standing near the roadside, identified as Uday Singh (45) from Nimdadi village, came under the trailer and died on the spot. Another person also lost their life in the accident, but their identity has not yet been confirmed.

Around 10 to 12 people were injured in the incident. All injured victims were immediately rushed to Hazaribagh Sadar Hospital for treatment, where they are currently receiving medical care.

The accident caused panic in the area, and traffic on the Charhi National Highway remained jammed for nearly two hours. Police reached the spot soon after the incident and started efforts to restore normal traffic movement.

Local residents said the collision was extremely severe, and the loud crash could be heard from a considerable distance. Police have begun an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
