Teen Dies After Falling from Incomplete Overbridge During Birthday Celebration in Palamu

Jharkhand News : A tragic incident occurred in the Medininagar Sadar police station area of Palamu, where a 15-year-old student lost his life after falling from an under-construction overbridge while celebrating a birthday with friends. The deceased has been identified as Aman Oraon, son of Arjun Oraon, a resident of Pokharaha on Panki Road.

According to reports, Aman had gone with a group of friends to an incomplete overbridge on the National Highway in Chianki on Friday evening to celebrate a birthday. During the celebration, he was allegedly given a scooter to ride, despite not knowing how to drive. He lost control of the vehicle and fell from the bridge, leading to his death.

At the time of the incident, Aman’s mother was attending a शादी ceremony in the Satbarwa area, while his father was away in Varanasi for work. The family has been devastated by the sudden loss. Aman was the youngest among two brothers and one sister and was a student of Class 8.

The body was sent to MMCH for postmortem, which was conducted on Saturday morning. Aman’s brother stated that five friends, including girls from the same village, were present at the birthday gathering.

The Sadar police have launched an investigation into the matter. The scooter involved bears the registration number JH03A 3175. Station in-charge Lal Ji confirmed the incident and said that no formal complaint has been filed yet, but the police are investigating the case.
