Jharkhand News : Hemant Soren on Saturday paid floral tribute to Sidhu-Kanhu on their birth anniversary at Sidhu-Kanhu Park located at Morabadi Maidan. His wife and MLA Kalpana Soren was also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has always been a land of brave heroes who created history through their courage and sacrifices. He highlighted that tribal and indigenous communities have long fought to protect jal, jungle, and zameen (water, forest, and land), even before the idea of India’s independence fully evolved.
He added that Sidhu-Kanhu raised a historic voice against injustice, exploitation, and oppression, and their legacy continues to inspire people to fight for dignity and rights.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the contribution of Sidhu-Kanhu holds a special place in Indian history, and people across the country remember and honor them on this day.
He urged citizens to follow the ideals of such great leaders and contribute towards the development of society and the state.
