Jharkhand News : Sanjay Seth has come under scrutiny after reports revealed that the bike he used during a public awareness ride in Ranchi carries 11 pending traffic challans related to helmet violations.
According to reports, all e-challans issued against vehicle number JH01DZ3364 were for riding without a helmet. The issue has triggered debate over alleged double standards in the enforcement of traffic rules, as common citizens often face immediate penalties and action for similar violations.
Sanjay Seth, Minister of State for Defence, had reportedly taken out the bike ride to spread awareness and encourage reduced vehicle usage following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal regarding fuel conservation and public responsibility. However, it later emerged that the bike already had multiple unpaid challans.
The matter has sparked reactions on social media, with users questioning whether ordinary citizens would have avoided strict action if 11 challans were pending on their vehicles. No official statement has yet been issued by the minister or his office regarding the controversy.
