Jharkhand : A delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jharkhand met Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s residential office on Kanke Road in Ranchi. The meeting focused on industrial development, investment opportunities, and creating an industry-friendly environment in the state.
During the discussion, the Chief Minister and CII representatives deliberated on key issues such as promoting investments in Jharkhand, accelerating industrial projects, and generating employment opportunities for local youth. The delegation also congratulated the Chief Minister for Jharkhand government’s active participation in the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos and the successful visit to the United Kingdom.
The CII representatives said Jharkhand’s strong presence on global platforms has helped the state emerge as a promising investment destination at both national and international levels. They appreciated the strong investment intentions received by the state government and noted that a positive environment is developing for investors and industries in Jharkhand.
The delegation expressed its willingness to work closely with the government in positioning Jharkhand among the country’s leading industrial states. It also assured support as a “knowledge and industry partner” in industrial policy-making, investment promotion, and industrial infrastructure development.
Discussions were also held on simplifying investment procedures, improving infrastructure for new projects, and ensuring the availability of essential facilities for industries. The CII delegation assured the government of continued cooperation in accelerating industrial growth in the state.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that during the global economic forum in Davos, the state government conveyed to the world that Jharkhand is a state with immense potential. He stated that Jharkhand is among the country’s leading states in terms of natural resources, human resources, and industrial capability, and that the government is continuously working to create a transparent and investor-friendly environment.
He added that the government’s priority is not only to establish industries but also to create large-scale employment opportunities for local youth. The Chief Minister said the government is moving forward with simple and transparent industrial policies to strengthen investor confidence.
The delegation that met the Chief Minister included CII Jharkhand State Council Chairman Dilu Parikh, Tata Steel Corporate Services Vice President D.B. Sundar Raman, CII Eastern Region Regional Director Dev Jyoti, and CII Jharkhand Head Prabhat Kumar.
