Jharkhand News : A private clinic operator in Koderma has been arrested after a 25-year-old woman accused him of misconduct during medical treatment. The incident, reported from the Jayanagar police station area, has sparked outrage and concern among local residents.
What is the case?
According to the complaint filed by the victim, identified as Sapna Kumari from Pahridih village, she visited Dayanand Clinic on Jayanagar Kalali Road on Wednesday night around 9 PM along with her relative Aman Kumar Singh for treatment.
The woman alleged that clinic operator Dr. Mukesh Pandey asked her relative to wait outside while administering saline treatment. She claimed that during this time, the doctor behaved inappropriately with her.
The victim further alleged that when she tried to resist and raise an alarm, the doctor attempted to threaten and intimidate her by referring to the saline and injection being administered.
Relative informed about the incident
The woman stated that she somehow managed to call her relative Aman Kumar Singh inside the clinic and informed him about the alleged incident.
Allegations of assault after protest
According to the complaint, when Aman Kumar Singh confronted the doctor, the situation escalated. The victim alleged that the doctor called a few other men to the clinic, after which Aman was allegedly assaulted.
The complaint also accuses several individuals of misbehavior, inappropriate physical contact, and assault. It further claims that cash was taken from Aman’s pocket during the scuffle.
Protest at police station
Following the incident, the victim and her family members reached Jayanagar police station seeking justice. Reports suggest that some villagers created a ruckus at the police station, alleging delay in police action.
Considering the seriousness of the matter, police detained the accused doctor and launched an investigation.

Police officials stated that all allegations made by the victim, along with evidence related to the incident, are being thoroughly investigated. Authorities said strict legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty.
Police have also appealed to the public not to spread rumors and to remain patient until the investigation is completed.
