Three Members of a Family Die Due to Toxic Gas During Mahua Liquor Brewing in Katkamdag

Jharkhand News : Three members of the same family died in a tragic incident in the Katkamdag area of Hazaribagh district. The deaths were reportedly caused by toxic gas generated during the brewing of mahua liquor inside their house.

According to reports, the incident took place at a house near Surya Mandir in Kud village of Katkamdag. A septic tank was allegedly being used for the preparation of illegal mahua liquor. During the extraction process, toxic gas leaked from the tank, causing three people to lose consciousness.

Local residents rushed the victims to a hospital in Katkamsandi, but all three died on the way.

Sources said the deceased belonged to the same family and had reportedly been involved in the mahua liquor business for a long time. The septic tank was allegedly being used in the liquor-making process.

The incident has created an atmosphere of grief in the Katkamdag area.
