Jharkhand News : The closing ceremony of the Girls Empowerment Mission (GEM)-2026, organized by Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited, was held in a vibrant and dignified atmosphere at Aranya Guest House on Wednesday.

The event was graced by Rituraj as the Chief Guest. Other distinguished attendees included A.K. Sehgal, Chairperson of Swarnrekha Mahila Samiti Renu Sehgal, and international football player Divyani Linda.

Students Showcase Talent and Confidence

The program began with a welcome song performed by the participating students. This was followed by a series of cultural performances, including a skit, Rajasthani folk dance, yoga demonstrations, and other creative presentations.

Financial Support for Football Talent

During the ceremony, PVUNL provided a sponsorship amount of ₹2.40 lakh to international footballer Divyani Linda under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Community Development initiatives to encourage her sporting achievements and future growth.

Special Film Highlights Transformation

A special film based on the Girls Empowerment Mission-2026 was screened during the event. The film showcased the participants’ journey throughout the workshop, highlighting their personality development, learning experiences, and increased self-confidence.

The presentation received enthusiastic appreciation from parents and guests.

Empowering Rural Girls

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner Rituraj praised PVUNL’s initiative and described the Girls Empowerment Mission as a commendable effort toward empowering girls from rural communities.

He appreciated the participants’ talent, confidence, and presentation skills, emphasizing that PVUNL is contributing not only to power generation but also to the social development of nearby villages.

PVUNL CEO A.K. Sehgal stated that the mission had brought significant improvements in the students’ personality, confidence, and leadership abilities.
