Woman, Youth Paraded Half-Naked Over Alleged Affair in Pakur; Case Filed Against 5 Named, 40 Others

Jharkhand News : A shocking incident that has sparked outrage has come to light from the Amrapara police station area of Jharkhand’s Pakur district, where a married woman and a young man were allegedly stripped to a semi-nude state and paraded through the village on suspicion of having an illicit relationship.

According to the complaint, the woman and the युवक were allegedly detained by a group of people, who then tore their clothes and forced them to walk through the village in a semi-nude condition. Despite the presence of several villagers, no one intervened to stop the incident. A video of the assault was also recorded and later circulated on social media.

Based on the victim’s complaint, Amrapara Police Station registered Case No. 49/26 under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police have named five accused, including the woman’s husband, while also booking 30 to 40 unidentified persons in connection with the incident.

Considering the seriousness of the case, the victim’s statement was recorded in the presence of SDM Simon Marandi and SDPO Vijay Kumar.

Police said raids are underway to arrest the accused and that the investigation is being carried out from all angles. Authorities have assured that strict legal action will be taken against those found guilty based on the evidence collected.
