Adani Foundation Distributes Nutrition Kits to 80 TB Patients in Hazaribagh

Jharkhand News: The Adani Foundation organized the first Tuberculosis (TB) Nutrition Kit Distribution Camp of the current financial year at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Barkagaon under the Gondulpura Mining Project. The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the Health Department.

Senior TB Supervisor Deepak Kumar and Project Security Head V.P. Singh attended the programme, during which nutrition kits were distributed to 80 TB patients. The kits contained essential food items aimed at improving patients’ nutritional intake and supporting their recovery alongside medical treatment.

Addressing the beneficiaries, representatives from the Foundation’s CSR team emphasized that balanced nutrition, along with uninterrupted medication, plays a vital role in combating tuberculosis. Patients were encouraged to complete their treatment and help spread awareness about TB within their communities.

The programme was coordinated by the Adani Foundation’s CSR team in partnership with the Health Department. The initiative is part of the Foundation’s efforts to support the government’s TB elimination campaign while improving the health and nutritional status of local communities.

Under the Gondulpura Mining Project, the Adani Foundation continues to implement several community development initiatives in the Barkagaon region. These include programmes in healthcare, education, livelihood promotion, women’s empowerment, skill development, rural employment, school infrastructure improvement, free health and eye check-up camps, support for self-help groups, drinking water and sanitation, agriculture and livelihood enhancement, sports promotion, and youth development in collaboration with various government departments.

The Foundation said its objective is to strengthen healthcare, education, and livelihoods while contributing to the region’s inclusive and sustainable development.
