Jharkhand News : Preparations for the Ghurti Rath Yatra in Ranchi have been completed. On Saturday, Lord Jagannath, along with his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, will return from the Mausi Bari (aunt’s abode) to the main Jagannath Temple as part of the traditional return chariot procession.
The Ghurti Rath Yatra will commence at 4:00 p.m. Meanwhile, darshan for devotees at the temple will remain closed after 2:50 p.m. to facilitate the preparations and smooth conduct of the procession.
A large turnout of devotees is expected during the event. In view of the anticipated crowd, the district administration has imposed several traffic restrictions to ensure public safety and smooth movement.
According to the traffic plan, heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter the stretch between Birsa Chowk and Dhurwa throughout the procession. Additionally, the movement of two-wheelers will be prohibited from the Old Assembly to the fairground (Mela premises).
Vehicles travelling from Dhurwa to Birsa Chowk will continue to operate via Chandni Chowk, while motorists travelling from Birsa Chowk towards Dhurwa have also been advised to use the Chandni Chowk route.
The administration has appealed to devotees and commuters to follow the traffic advisory and cooperate with officials to ensure the peaceful and successful conduct of the Ghurti Rath Yatra.
