In an online session, Aritra Chatterjee from Kolkata spoke on gender dysphoria, associated mental health challenges, and key aspects of the assessment of gender dysphoria. The session provided participants with practical insights into affirming and evidence-based approaches to mental healthcare.
The training programme has brought together psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric social workers, researchers, and other mental health professionals from various departments of RINPAS.
The four-day programme aims to strengthen participants’ knowledge, clinical skills, and sensitivity towards queer and trans-affirmative mental healthcare, enabling them to provide more inclusive, respectful, and rights-based mental health services to the LGBTQ+ community.
