14th JPSC Exam Irregularities: Former Chairman L. Khiangte to Face Third Day of CID Questioning Today

Jharkhand News : The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) will continue questioning former Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) Chairman L. Khiangte for a third consecutive day on Thursday as part of its investigation into alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC Combined Civil Services Examination.

Khiangte has been asked to appear at the CID Headquarters in Ranchi at 11 a.m. for further interrogation.

According to sources, the former JPSC chairman was questioned for nearly eight hours on the first day and around nine hours on the second day. Investigators reportedly asked him detailed questions regarding the recruitment process, the conduct of the examination, the role of a private agency involved in the process, and several other key aspects of the selection exercise.

Sources further said that the CID has seized Khiangte’s passport to prevent any possibility of him leaving the country while the investigation is underway.

Officials indicated that the third round of questioning will focus on several crucial issues related to the alleged irregularities. The CID is conducting a comprehensive probe into all aspects of the recruitment process to determine whether any procedural lapses or misconduct occurred.

Note: The investigation is ongoing, and the allegations of irregularities are yet to be established through the legal process.
